Established in 1974, the Friends of River City Music has had the primary objective of supporting and promoting instumental music education and performance for all residence of the Sacramento Valley region.To this end we pool our resources inorder to suplement the efforts of the many local music teachers and programs in the area, from Elk Grove to Natomas, to Mid and Down town Sacramento, to Davis. By presenting regional performances by local students we hope to encourage others who have not yet experienced the pleasures of learning to play an instrument to "give it a try". We also encourage those students who want to connect with others to use this site as a gathering spot to help form groups and ensambles for colaberative learning and performance.
